American Goalies in the BCHL

Matteo Esposito – 97’ – CT – Three-year goaltender for Brunswick (NE Prep), doesn’t have ideal size, but had a strong season with Chilliwack.

Lawson Fenton – 96’ – NY –Rochester area native played in Empire league prior to joining BCHL, has another season of Jr. eligibility.

Tyger Howat – 95’MI – Played in the USHL a few years ago and had a stint with the USNTDP. Wound up in New Jersey with an NAPHL team.

Anthony Brodeur – 95’ – NJ – Martin’s older kid played in the QMJHL with Drummondville so his eligibility is up. Put up solid numbers as an overager in the BCHL this year.

Zach Driscoll – 97’ – MN – Committed to ST. CLOUD STATE, on the smaller side, but has played well for Penticton. Previously played in Omaha (USHL).

Bailey MacBurnie – 95’ – MA – Committed to SACRED HEART, led Salisbury to the NE Prep title in 2015.

Andrew Shortridge – 95’ – AK – Committed to QUINNIPIAC, was rock solid in starting role for Vernon this year.

Garrett Nieto – 98’ – CA – LA Jr. Kings product’s brother plays for Fairbanks (NAHL) and will go to Brown next year. He is the youngest of this group and should be the regular starter for Wenatchee next season. D-1 offer is likely in his future.

Chase Perry – 96’ – ND – Committed to RPI, played the 14’-15’ season for Colorado College following his selection in the 5th round of the NHL Draft by Detroit.

Matthew Greenfield – 95’ – FL – Florida Alliance and Team Illinois product played two seasons with Kitchener in the OHL, so he is ineligible for NCAA. Started the season with Tri-City (USHL).

NCAA Free Agents

Lawson Fenton – 96’ – Being a little older, D-3 is likely for Fenton.

Tyger Howat – 95’ – Has bounced around a lot, but the potential is there and he has size. A D-1 program would be wise to take a flyer on him. Could also be a very good D-3 player.

Garrett Nieto – 98’ – Young for a Jr. A goaltender, a D-1 offer is likely.
